Brand New Blog!
I am working on a brand new blog that will feature suppliers on Etsy.com. I recently joined the Etsy Supply Street Team (ESST) because I have a mosaic supplies shop on Etsy and wanted a way that I could promote all of us.
Every one of us needs supplies of one kind or another whether it's paints and canvas, cooking essentials, crafting supplies, beads, fabrics...and the list goes on. This will be a blog that will give you another resource for finding what you need.
I plan to feature a new shop every few days so I hope you will stop by often and check them out. You don't have to be an online seller to buy from these shops. If you are a do-it-yourself er and just need some quality supplies feel free to check out the Etsy Supply Street Team on Etsy.com or pop on over to my blog Memories Mosaic Supplies.

The Finished Piece!
I finally finished the mirror and was trying to get some good pictures of it. The closeups are fairly easy to do but I sure have a hard time with the full front of my mirrors. As soon as you snap the picture you realize that your feet were in it or the mirror is smudged or the flash went off and is blinding the photo.
Anyway, here it is. I am very happy with the end result. It took considerably longer to work each tile in so that the grout lines are finer, but it's a challenge and keeps me on my toes.
I was stuck for something interesting to do and my husband suggested I run some leaves up to the top so that's what I did.

Ocean Deep-My Newest Mosaic
A few weeks back I showed you my WIPs on this newest ocean-themed mosaic.
I ended up changing a few things around as the rectangular mirror I had in there to begin with was making the piece entirely too heavy. I opted for a 12" round, beveled mirror which actually gave me more room to put the design.
This is my interpretation of things found deep in the ocean from the little crab to the sand dollar. I also added a broken pottery vase and some "sea leaves".
The brown and blue with white beach pottery came from Australia and is just perfect for this theme.
It took me a long time to complete this one but I really enjoyed making it.
