Moving Day

When we started moving this morning I thought I would get a shot of this dresser. This is another bargain we found at the Goodwill last year. It is a large dresser with a cupboard on the side. Terra used it in her kitchen to hold extras like towels, knives, and her crock pot, etc.

We bought it for $25.00 and added some shelf paper in the fruit motif to the cupboard front and painted the drawers Burgundy.

The rest was faux finished in various greens and golds with a crackle finish.

The handles were taken off and washed real good then we spray- painted them a bronze. You can click on it and get a larger picture.

I helped Terra and Justin move today into their new apartment. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, which is difficult to find in this city.

This is the entrance way into their building.

Their apartment faces this view. Man made lakes are a big thing in here. Directly in front of it is the swimming pool where the white fencing is.

This is the living room after our first load.

Justin and Terra are carrying in one of the boy's dressers. Terra said she would never move herself again, that she would hire someone next time. It is a lot of heavy work.

This is a picture of the living room when I was leaving at 6pm tonight. I barely made a dent in the boxes even though I was putting things away all day.

Those boxes bring back horrible memories - moving is one of my least favorite things. The only good thing about it is when everything's done and put away! Looks liek a nice apartment complex.

How very sweet of you to feature my cat screen! Thank you so much! That was a nice surprise. I am working on another one. I love your blog and am following as of this writing! Your mosaics are wonderful. Intarsia wood design comes from the Italian mosaic term. Have a wonderful day, glad to meet you, Kerrie
